2. Description of Service

CounselorSophie is an AI-powered college planning platform that helps high school students, parents, and counselors navigate the college application process. Features include personalized college recommendations, application timeline tracking, summer program discovery, and narrative analysis.

3. Account Registration

Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account.
  • Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service. Users under 13 require verifiable parental consent in accordance with COPPA.
  • By creating an account for a minor, parents and guardians agree to these Terms on the minor's behalf.

Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • We do not guarantee admission outcomes or the accuracy of college tier assessments.
  • You should consult with qualified counselors, teachers, and admissions professionals for definitive guidance.

6. Intellectual Property

  • The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by CounselorSophie.
  • You retain ownership of the content you submit (essays, activities, personal information).
  • By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content as necessary to provide the Service, including sending it to AI providers for recommendation generation.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CounselorSophie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data or unauthorized access to your account
  • College admission outcomes based on our recommendations
  • Service interruptions or downtime
  • Inaccuracies in AI-generated content

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to Terms
